FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS SOFT TISSUE THERAPY

Soft Tissue Therapy is an advanced, clinically-focused approach designed to fix the root cause of muscle pain, tightness, and movement dysfunction — not just mask the symptoms.
It combines powerful techniques such as sports massage, deep tissue therapy, neuromuscular release, myofascial work, and targeted trigger point treatment to restore healthy, pain-free movement.

If you train hard, sit too much, feel constantly tight, or wake up with aches you can’t explain — Soft Tissue Therapy is built for you.

Why it works so well

Soft Tissue Therapy doesn’t offer “relaxation for an hour.”
It delivers real, measurable change by:

  • Releasing chronically tight muscles

  • Breaking the cycle of pain and compensation

  • Improving circulation and tissue healing

  • Resetting dysfunctional movement patterns

  • Calming the nervous system and reducing stress hormones

You don’t just feel lighter, your body functions better!

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

Your first session is all about understanding you and your pain, your training history, and what’s been holding you back. We’ll start with a short conversation so I can get a clear picture of your symptoms, injuries, or movement issues. From there, you’ll receive a targeted, hands-on treatment using the most effective techniques for your situation whether that’s deep tissue work, sports massage, dry needling, cupping, or soft tissue release. Expect a focused, results-driven session designed to reduce pain, release tension, and improve mobility right away.

Most people walk out feeling lighter, looser, and genuinely relieved. You’ll also leave with clear aftercare recommendations so the benefits last longer and your progress continues between sessions.

It’s not a generic massage, it’s a tailored treatment built around getting you out of pain and performing at your best.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A SPORTS MASSAGE?

Most people benefit from a sports massage, dry cupping, or dry needling treatment at least once per month, especially if they train regularly or have a physically demanding lifestyle. Professional athletes typically book weekly sessions, because consistent treatment keeps muscles healthy, improves performance, and reduces injury risk.
If you’re training three times per week or more, a monthly sports massage should be your minimum and many people feel the difference straight away.
Whether you book before or after training, sports massage supports your body, speeds up recovery, and keeps you moving stronger for longer.

I HAVE HAD A CHRONIC PAIN FOR YEARS HOW WILL YOU HELP?

At Fast Therapy High Wycombe, this is exactly what we specialise in. Chronic pain often has layers of physical tension, nervous system sensitivity, old injuries, stress patterns and we take the time to understand your full story, not just the symptom. Using a combination of advanced treatments such as dry needling, red-light therapy, cupping, sports massage, and clinical soft tissue techniques, we work to calm pain receptors, release deep muscular and fascial tension, restore proper movement, and retrain the body out of its 'pain cycle' Many clients who struggled for years experience breakthroughs in mobility, comfort, and daily function because we don’t guess we assess, treat with purpose, and tailor everything to your body. If you’re unsure, our reviews speak for themselves: long-term pain can change, and we’re here to help you get there.
