About Me
Sam Ramsey

Level  5 Soft tissue therapist

Since undertaking The qualification at the Oxford School Of Sports Massage I have been working with Professional Athletes, and the General public.

Being a soft tissue therapist requires a good understanding of Anatomy, able to identify postural issues, Muscle, Fascial restrictions and identifying muscular dysfunctions that may be present.

In daily life we are affected by a variety of stress factors, In turn these affect how we move everyday from Trauma, Injuries, Emotional elements, Working life and much more. This can cause us experiencing pain, tightness, stiffness reducing our confidence to move as we would like, or inhibiting our performance.

Using a variety of Massage techniques, Neurological techniques and well established methods, Soft tissue treatments can aid in a return to optimal ranges of motion in our body, bringing posture to a more ideal position and pain free movements.

Most people are now aiming to get a sports massage, or dry cupping and dry needling treatment at least once per month, However professional athlete's opt for once per week, If you are training more than 3 times per week then once a month sports massage should be minimum for you, You can have a sports massage before or after training when ever suits you. Sports massage will be a compliment to your training. keeping you stronger for longer

I HAVE HAD A CHRONIC PAIN FOR YEARS HOW WILL YOU HELP?

Be it a injury you sustained or unexplained pain symptom that may have persisted, Using the Soft tissue techniques can be a way of helping the your body's nervous system to relax and help restore muscles or fascia to a better resting position, Reducing or eliminating pain and even increasing ranges of motion in the body as this is vital for longevity.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

From your first session you should expect a detailed enquiry into why it is you are feeling discomfort of pain. Often the area we feel there’s an issue can be caused by other areas of the bodies connective tissue compensating and becoming over worked or having some dysfunction.
As an individual your treatment will be tailored to yourself, including post treatment rehab advice with the option for me to check in on your recovery as you wish.

As someone who’s had regular dry needling & sports massage among other techniques following multiple niggles post playing high level competitive sport, I can safely say Sam is one of the best in the business. Fully trust him with my body & one of the most important things in this world…he listens! Highly recommend 👌🏼
